I was born on July
10,1951 in Royston, Ga. to the family of
Howard and Thelma Bailey. I attended Airline Elementary School
from 1957-1965. I then attended Hart county High School from 1966 till graduation in 1969. After graduation I attended Forrest College in Anderson, SC, graduating in 1971 with an Associate Degree in Business Administration. On Sept. 17, 1971, I was saved at an old-fashioned tent revival near Elberton, Ga. In April 1972, the Lord called me to preach His Word. On Sept. 28, 1975, I was married to Vickie Bennett, from Canon, Georgia, the most wonderful woman in the world. On December 10, 1976, our first daughter, Amy Leah was born at Elberton Memorial Hospital in Elberton, Ga. On Sept. 22, 1978, our second daughter, Alisha Gail was born at Hart County Hospital in Hartwell, Ga. What a blessing from the Lord our children have been. In 1972 I attended Anderson College, Anderson, SC. I then went to Emmanuel College where I attended classes for about a year and a half. In 1976-77 I was Pastor of the Second Baptist Church in Hartwell, Ga. In 1983, I received a Graduate of Theology degree from Tabernacle Baptist Bible College in Greenville, SC. In 1987, I received a Bachelor of Theology degree from Bethany Theological Seminary in Dothan, AL. In 1989, I received a Master of Theology degree from Bethany Theological Seminary in Dothan, AL. In November 1992, I began as Pastor of the Bible Baptist Church in Royston, Ga. and hope to be here till the Lord comes. Please pray for us as we seek to do His Will and Glorify Our Savior. |
